Production Operator

Calian GNSS is an Ottawa-based producer of products and components used for Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).

This is a full-time, on-site role in Ottawa, working Monday to Friday.

Position Overview

Our Production Team is growing, and we’re looking for a Production Operator to help assemble our GNSS products. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work with small electronic components, using tools like soldering irons and power screwdrivers.

Responsibilities

1. Assemble electro-mechanical components by following instructions and drawings.
2. Use tools like soldering irons, pliers, power screwdrivers, and ultrasonic welders.
3. Work safely and efficiently under the guidance of the Production Floor Manager.
4. Help with general production tasks like packing products and lifting materials when needed.

Qualifications

1. Some experience with SMT soldering (Surface Mount Technology) or a strong interest in learning.
2. Comfortable using assembly tools and working with small components.
3. Ability to read and follow instructions carefully.
4. A strong focus on safety and quality.
5. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. A team player with good communication skills.
7. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
