Overview

The Production employee will perform tasks to ensure the production line is operational and quality end product is delivered on time to the customer. The individual is a key player for plant efficiency by operating the production line, inspecting products, and packaging throughout the facility. The Production Operator will take pride in their safety mindset, attention to quality, and excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Job duties vary by area of assignment (Extrusion, Beaming, Weaving, Finishing, and Reprocessing).
  • Responsible for the overall operation of assigned production equipment and/or process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Experience in manufacturing is considered an asset.
  • Experience with shift work is considered an asset.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

COMPETENCIES:

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Fluent in the English language.
  • Strong communication skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Basic computer skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Basic mathematical skills.

REASONING & OTHER ABILITIES

  • Strong mechanical reasoning.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, multi-task, and prioritize effectively.
  • Positive attitude, reliable, and motivated.
  • Safety-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong attendance record.
