Position: Production Manager

Location: Toronto, ON

Excellence Auto Collision - Midwest in Toronto, we are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in terms of the customer experience by facilitating the completion of work required to reunite clients with repaired or restored vehicles. Leveraging your extensive knowledge of the vehicle repair process, you will manage the technical team and coordinate the flow of work within the Collision Center. This role is to improve profitability for the business and create a positive work culture.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Excellence has been in business for over 30 years - our ability and technical background in collision repair have made us the preferred auto body shop to some of Toronto's most respected car dealerships. We are a certified collision centre for Audi, BMW/Mini, Tesla, Lucid, Porsche, Honda, and Ford.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Estimating and Repair Technicians to achieve operational goals and objectives by assigning vehicle dismantles to Estimators and work orders to Repair technicians.
  • Oversee the workflow of repairs from production to end of repair cycle while meeting daily/monthly targets.
  • Ensure Autobody Repair Technicians and Refinishing Technicians are repairing vehicles to OEM specifications.
  • Complete vehicle inspections once repairs are complete to ensure repairs are completed to standard.
  • Arrange and confirm sublet work to be completed with dealership partners.
  • Handle customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work with CSR's to ensure vehicles are booked in to meet daily targets.
  • Work with Parts department to ensure part statuses are updated and technicians have the required parts to proceed with repairs.

Requirements:

  • Previous Automotive Body experience required (Management, Estimator, Repair Technician).
  • Thorough knowledge of Mitchell and Audatex estimating system and Body Shop Management Software.
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with diplomacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control throughout the production process.
  • Valid G License.
