This position will be responsible for coordinating the Cleanroom & Warehouse operations in our manufacturing facility located in Castlebar, Ireland. This key role helps to ensure we are maximizing effectiveness in conjunction with all key stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These include the following, others may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Manage production cleanroom and warehouse activities to meet scheduled demands for both internal and external customer service expectations.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation and performance of these units.
- Ensures continual quality system compliance by adherence to established and evolving customer and QMS requirements.
- Provides on-site management for production and warehouse supervisors and other support staff in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Responsibilities include reviewing staffing requirements, interviewing, hiring, training, motivated, empowered and development employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills to deal with issues as they arise
- Analyse production processes to identify areas for improvement, reduce waste and increase productivity, including developing, tracking and ongoing review of KPIs.
- Establish measurable targets and KPIs for work stations within the cleanroom.
- Track and analyze production workflows and processes to identify and address inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions and preventative measures to address the root causes of recurring production issues.
- Maintains high morale within departments, handle personnel problems fairly, consistently and honestly in a timely manner, and also in collaboration with HR department.
- Work with production and warehouse supervisors and production associates to ensure effective communication with Supply Chain, Customer Operations, Quality, Facilities & Maintenance, IT, HR, and Finance departments to facilitate efficient running of the overall Castlebar operation.
- Ensures environmental and safety practices are followed at all times.
- Works with facilities to optimize, cleanroom & warehouse layouts for more efficient use of space and workflow.
- Work with other functions to plan for & action future capacity requirements within existing and future expansion footprints.
- Responding to internal customer communication by email and telephone.
Qualifications, Education & Experience

- A minimum of five years of experience along with three years of supervisory experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to analyse and resolve problems as they arise, with the ability to use lean / six sigma or other problem-solving methodologies.
- Level 8 qualification in Business, Management, Production, Engineering/Science or related discipline would be an advantage.
- The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellent people management skills, be a team player while leading, coaching and training a team and have the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Is action-oriented & full of energy to face challenging situations.
Physical Demands
Occasional work may be done in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment. Powder free gloves, face masks, hairnets, gowns, and shoe covers must be worn. Because smokers continue to shed thousands of smoke particles even hours after smoking a cigarette and these particles will damage our products, only non-smokers are permitted to enter or work in the cleanroom. As a result, the successful candidate must be a nonsmoker.
