Production Line Operator - Bilingual (First Shift)

JOB OVERVIEW

Under supervision, the Paint Line Operator safely and efficiently loads equipment for processing/painting of raw materials. Work safely and always be aware of your coworkers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepare raw materials for production runs and verify that materials match customer order requirements and production schedule.
2. Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process.
3. Visually inspect coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.) in raw materials and finished products.
4. Work as a team to complete production setups to ensure an efficient changeover from job to job.
5. Package coils to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.), which may include driving a forklift or assisting the forklift driver.
6. Ensure that finished goods are properly and safely stacked both on the forklift and in the warehouse.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work area by removing production scrap and packaging scrap in a timely manner and placing waste in proper receptacles.
8. Participate in safety and other training programs as required.
9. Collaborate with crew members during production downtime on projects as defined by management.
10. Breaks are unscheduled and machinery must always be attended.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, it is necessary to understand basic measurement and mathematics when using a calculator, and to be comfortable with computers as some data entry or data lookup is required.

1. Forklift experience preferred but not required.
2. Exposure to production environment preferred.
3. Reliable transportation is mandatory.
4. English and Spanish speaking - REQUIRED

SHIFT

1. 6:00AM - 4:00PM.
2. Overtime when needed.

WAGE

1. $20.00 Hourly.
