A Production Graphic Designer at LMNO prepares and optimizes creative assets for delivery, ensuring correct colors, fonts, resolution, layout, and formatting. They are masters of Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, with a strong passion for visual communication (design, layout, colour, composition, etc.). Using their keen eye for detail, a Production Designer creates artwork across a wide variety of platforms that is pixel perfect and technically sound.

This work includes marketing and advertising campaigns, visual identities and brand guidelines, print collateral, and digital assets.

Essential Functions

  1. Create technically sound and high-quality visual design deliverables
  2. Help turn concepts into finished artwork
  3. Collaborate with other creative team members to evolve ideas and explore options
  4. Curate, search, and source beautiful and well-suited stock imagery for various applications
  5. Contribute ideas on design projects, campaign pieces, and brand collateral
  6. Generate proofs for review and approval by internal teams
  7. Review work for accuracy and quality
  8. Deliver clean, well-organized artwork files to suppliers
  9. Assist in preparing images, icons, and files for use in print and digital applications
  10. Champion studio best practices and be the driving force of organizational standards (folder structure, naming conventions, resource management, workflow, colour profile management, etc.)

Qualifications:

  1. 2-5+ years’ experience as a Production Designer
  2. Highly proficient with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  3. Solid organizational skills
  4. Skilled with typography, font selection, and copy layout
  5. Good understanding of colour theory, management, and profiles for both print and digital applications
  6. Thorough understanding of pre-press, printing techniques/requirements, inks and substrates
  7. Basic understanding of advertising/marketing communications principles
  8. Basic understanding of web design best practices
  9. Passion for design and ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams throughout the agency

This position is not eligible for the TFW or SINP programs. This job is open to all Canadian citizens, permanent residents and those holding an open work permit. This position is in-office.
