Job description

We are looking for a perfectionist who is extremely detail oriented, well organized, resourceful, and experienced at troubleshooting and problem-solving. Someone calm, able to prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role is going to be part of Omnicom Production Canada Group.

Minimum Of 5 Years' Responsibilities And Experience

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for vendor quoting, press checks, proper file nomenclature, maintaining client archive files, producing final art files for trafficking.
  2. Managing font licensing for client projects on behalf of the agency.
  3. Stays up to date on the latest tools and file management/client archive files.

Experience

  1. Strong knowledge of final art production for both traditional and digital print projects.
  2. Production project experience including vendor quotes, vendor knowledge/relationships, press checks.
  3. Fully versed in Adobe Creative Cloud, HTML5 animation skills, Adobe Animate, .GIF Animation.
  4. Experienced with motion graphics and design production.
  5. After Effects experience would be considered an asset.
  6. A keen eye for both detail and design.
  7. Other desirable software experience for finished art would include Figma, Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint.
  8. Agency, design studio, or in-house art department experience would be an asset.
  9. Comfortable with learning and using new technology.

In Market Requirements

The position requires the candidate to be in the Edmonton office for the following reasons:

  1. Must be able to attend press checks often conducted at Edmonton printers.
  2. Must be available during Mountain Standard Time office hours, as well as early morning and evening for emergency production needs (in order to meet media deadlines).
  3. Must be able to meet in person with select clients to handle large volume edits and produce revisions in real time.
  4. Must be able to work very closely with the creative and design teams in real time to produce materials on deadline.
  5. Must be in office to print off final proof documents and produce mock-ups (i.e., brochures with folds) for review with design/creative team and production director, for colour matching, and for proof sign-offs.
