Production Accountant

Veren is looking for an experienced Production Accountant to complete full cycle production and revenue accounting functions for operated and non-operated Alberta properties. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical skills that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities and Activities:

1. Analysis of monthly production data
2. Metrix master file setups
3. Review and interpretation of schematics
4. Meeting all allocation & regulatory deadlines along with the timely submission of partner data
5. Monthly account receivable reconciliations
6. Engage with various stakeholders such as Operations, Measurement, Financial Reporting, Marketing, and Land, to facilitate the accurate reporting of assigned properties
7. Scheduling and completing amendments as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. 10+ years Production Accounting experience
2. Experience with Power BI and Tabular Models would be considered an asset
3. Knowledge of EPAP and government directives
4. Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, as well as, CS Explorer, and Energylink
5. Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
7. Highly motivated collaborator who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals, not afraid to challenge processes and contribute new ideas.
