Product & Packaging Designer

A mother-and-daughter-owned gifting brand is seeking a Product & Packaging Designer to support the evolution of its brand. Responsibilities:

1. Lead product and packaging design to create visually compelling, innovative gifting experiences.
2. Develop and execute design concepts from ideation to production, ensuring aesthetic appeal and functionality.
3. Oversee the packaging design process, ensuring that materials, sustainability, and production techniques align with the brand’s vision.
4. Conduct market and trend research to develop designs that resonate with customers and enhance brand positioning.
5. Manage a team of designers, providing guidance on artwork, renderings, and creative direction.
6. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure successful product launches.
7. Assist with photoshoot ideation and visual asset design to showcase products in an engaging way.
8. Problem-solve quickly, communicate effectively, and maintain a can-do, entrepreneurial mindset.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in product design and packaging, ideally within the food or gifting industry.
3. Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), CAD software, and 3D modeling tools.
4. Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail, with a balance of creativity and analytical thinking.
5. Experience working with packaging materials, printing techniques, and sustainable design solutions.
6. Ability to lead projects from concept to execution, including managing timelines and collaborating with multiple teams.
7. Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter mentality, and a passion for designing memorable gifting experiences.
8. Bonus: Experience with Amazon.com and e-commerce packaging design.
