Team & Job Overview
The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer was established in 2023 with the mission of empowering our customers and colleagues to take on the world, by seamlessly delivering secure and reliable digital experiences. Digital & Technology Solutions has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC:
- Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.
- Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitates its execution across all domains in the organization.
- Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.
- Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.
The Infrastructure and Platform Enablement team within the DTS group EDC focuses on enabling cloud computing engineering and Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform that support enterprise solution development and fostering positive relationships with business lines to improve their technology experience.
We provide robust IAM capabilities, including maintaining and providing a platform to connect applications, servers, and devices, offering a certificate lifecycle platform to manage private and public certificates, device certificates, and web certificates, and working alongside the business owner for Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), we are accountable for managing and operating the IGA platform through user provisioning, de-provisioning, governance, and administration. This mandate ensures that our application and device stack is secure, efficient, and aligned with our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own EDC’s Identity and Access Management technology and be responsible for all aspects of the platform.
- Define and establish the platform framework, implement, and manage the platform including establishing metrics, Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Objectives (SLOs).
- Grow the platform as needed to ensure EDC achieves its desired outcomes in collaboration with the business capability owner.
- Lead Operating Systems (OS) management capability by overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of the operating system infrastructure, ensuring it meets the organization’s performance, security, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with architects, technical product leads, product owners, scrum masters, engineers, and other internal stakeholders.
- Take a leading role in embracing IT transformation and building a resilient support organization.
- Report out on the platform metrics and conduct regular operational reviews with stakeholders.
Screening Criteria
- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience working with IAM Platforms in Identity lifecycle management, Authentication, Authorization, IGA, PAM, Federation, Monitoring, Auditing and Incident response.
- Experience working in an Agile methodology regarding platforms, products, and services, including establishing, service channels, metrics, service levels and service availability.
- Experience with working on Windows and Linux Operating System image creation, hardening, and patching.
- Experience with Linux Operating Systems, configuration and management.
- Experience with managing Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Domain Controllers, including but not limited to administration, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Experience in managing Certificate Lifecycle Management capabilities.
- Experience with annual budgeting and planning exercises.
- Experience in managing staff and services providers and third-party support providers.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
Assets
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Any Associate.
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305 and/or AZ-900).
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure AD, Azure B2C, Microsoft SCCM and Azure Monitor, and ServiceNow.
- Experience with Venafi or AppViewX Certificate Lifecycle Management and PKI.
- Experience with IGA platforms such as Okta, Entra ID, Sailpoint or Savvyint.
- ITIL certification.
- Agile or Lean certification.
- Bilingual in both Official Languages (English and French).
- Product Owner 18: Salaries typically range from $92,355 to $123,140 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
Location
- Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
- This role may be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa, or from the Community Hub in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Laval or Brossard.
