What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Analytics Enablement, you will be a key team member, acting as a subject matter expert to drive the vision, strategy and delivery of BI/Analytics Solutions from conception to Business-as-usual initiatives (Creating a net new onboarding process, Continuous Improvement, Advisory clinic sessions and FINOPS). Additionally, working closely with the Manager, Platform Governance, you will provide tactical insight, consultation and recommend enhancements based on business needs, market trends and user feedback to maximize organizational value. The Product Owner, Enterprise Analytics Enablement, also works closely with cross-functional Data & Analytics teams across all CIBC departments (IT, Enterprise Architecture, Security and Risk Management, etc.) to ensure proper governance and service of our enterprise suite of tools.

How You’ll Succeed
Strategic Thinking Approach: Envision a holistic view while focusing on the finer details. You drive, manage and execute the data & analytics enablement strategy + platform service and governance for CIBC while supporting the business goals, delivering business efficient solutions, objectives and KPIs. You have a keen ability to provide insights, recommendations and strategic direction based on CIBC’s vision, business needs and objectives (KPIs), industry trends, competitive landscape and metrics insights. You have the ability to navigate an ambiguous ever-changing environment and plan for the future.
Team Player and Leadership: Act both collaboratively and autonomously. You will contribute to the development of purpose-driven product roadmaps, create, maintain and prioritize a product backlog, initiative intakes and solutioning for assigned portfolios. To achieve successful execution, you will collaborate with other technical experts and product owners to manage any cross-functional teams across your own or multiple platforms. You can provide analytics strategic consultation as necessary to our business, as well as other internal partners in addition to working closely with external vendors, to execute on your deliverables.
Business Acumen and Relationship Building: Forge strong relationships with CIBC’s various teams, by working with the business and internal partners, owning the end-to-end programs to deliver analytics capabilities, with a strong understanding of the client needs and experiences across all channels. You are a great communicator, with the ability to synthesize complex analysis, findings and recommendations, then package key messages for senior executives. You have a proven ability to partner, build confidence and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels across the organization and you’re a self-starter, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and develop processes and governance from the ground up. Knowledgeable in data modeling, architecture, BI and analytics, as well as project management ensures best practices and requirements are met for all enterprise analytics portfolios.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience in: Waterfall and Agile Project Management, Process Engineering, Financial Industry experience. Use of JIRA & Confluence. Working knowledge of: Databricks, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning and Data pipelines. Prior experience collaborating with Architecture in producing system context diagrams, topologies, and other infrastructure/data flow diagrams is an asset.
