Location: Trois-Rivières • 8800 Blvd Parent, Trois-Rivières, QC, G9A 5E1, (Remote)
Vacation: 3 weeks per year or more
Leave: Up to 5 mobile and 3 sick days

Job Summary:

The Product Owner plays a key role in AGT, at the junction of the commercial plan, technological development, and user experience. This role is responsible for defining the vision of the products, planning and implementing the strategy around the evolution of the product line, always based on a thorough understanding of the customer’s needs. Working closely with product development teams as well as sales and marketing teams, the Product Owner coordinates and contributes to improving the AGT Product Development processes to innovate efficiently at high velocity.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders and departments to refine the product vision, define features, and manage priorities.
  • Develop a strong product positioning and strategy, always aligned with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service to understand detailed customer needs and translate them into product requirements.
  • Mobilize and align teams to materialize corporate priorities and product roadmap efficiently, complying with quality requirements.
  • Perform follow-ups with customers and internal stakeholders to manage progression towards full production.
  • Conduct performance reviews of product lines with customer services to identify potential improvements.
  • Develop business cases and implement business plans with key stakeholders to execute on the innovation portfolio and product strategy.
  • Use data-driven decision making to support initiatives prioritization and make strategic adjustments.
  • Coordinate and lead gate review meetings with stakeholders of the product development process.
  • Develop in-depth expertise by working closely with sales, customers, and industry analysts and attending key industry events.
  • Act as a subject matter expert regarding the product, the voice of the customer, trends, and competition.
  • Collaborate to implement pricing strategies, economic impact assessments, and go-to-market strategies.

Competences:

  • Bachelor’s or college degree in a technological domain; engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or ownership, preferably in a highly technological environment.
  • Strong technical background with experience working closely with engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication (English and French), collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to synthesize and articulate a product vision and strategy.
  • Successful track record of product launches or program/project deliveries.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools.
  • Prior knowledge of product & software development, robotics, and automation is a must.
  • Deep understanding of the structural steel market and/or welding industry is a strong advantage.
