How You’ll Make An Impact:
As a Salesforce Product Owner, you will be responsible for representing the Advisor Sales business unit’s priorities and managing product delivery on a cross-functional Salesforce scrum team. Your responsibility in this role will be to manage the product backlog, prioritize requirements for future product development and evaluate the work generated by the team to ensure impeccable features and functionality of the product.
Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, assessing current systems and business procedures, participating in operational reviews, documenting requirements, ensuring successful implementation of enhancements and communicating updates to the Advisor Sales Team.
What You Will Do:
Work within Agile team environments to deliver the best software solutions for our suite of products.
Acts as Product Owner for Agile team, participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
Plan and prioritize product backlog to ensure there is a clear vision and roadmap
Oversee all stages of product creation including design and development, monitoring progress at each stage
Assist with Agile team reporting and road-mapping
Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
Maintain and make available accurate and current product backlog
Liaison with Product Sponsor and Management to ensure successful delivery priority
Successful presentation of delivered features and status to senior management and stakeholders
Successful coordination with Scrum Master(s) to ensure teams are delivering the best results
Participate in Operational Reviews
Attend kick off meetings to review existing operational controls
Organize documentation in advance of operational process reviews
Schedule resources and coordinate operational process walkthroughs and follow-up meetings
Conduct meetings with management to update them on the process analysis, findings and recommendations for enhancements
Assist with the implementation of process improvements and efficiency recommendations
Completion of operational reviews in an organized and efficient manner
Process enhancement opportunities are well documented and prioritized
Operational process improvements are implemented in a timely fashion
Successful implementation of system enhancements
Timely and accurate communication and training of upcoming system changes and potential impact to respective areas
Current and up to date list of prioritized enhancements available within the division for the owned product
Lead systems enhancement change management planning
Facilitate discussions between business departments and systems division to identify business requirements, testing needs and implementation timelines
Organize departmental and/or division communication
Coordinate updating relevant training materials and job aids
Successful implementation of system enhancements
Timely and accurate communication and training of upcoming system changes and potential impact to respective areas
Current and up to date list of prioritized enhancements available within the division for the owned product
What We Are Looking For:
In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
Solid understanding of the wealth management industry
Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with cross divisional teams, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both written and oral

Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to adapt to change and influence others
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Excel); working knowledge of software development
The Expertise You Bring:
Must haves:
3+ year(s) working experience in the financial industry, specifically Advisor Sales
3+ year(s) working experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or equivalent
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP etc.
Experience creating agile product roadmaps, backlogs, business case development and ROI reporting
Nice to haves:
Wealth industry experience
Experience in digital product delivery and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, DocuSign, etc.)
Project management experience
Education/Licenses/Registrations/Designations:
A minimum requirement of a university degree or equivalent work experience
Must have: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Product Owner Certification
Nice to have: Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
