Purpose

As an R&D Software Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and direction for our Software product portfolio. Your role involves ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, gathering customer insights, prioritizing product requirements, and guiding product development through the entire product life cycle.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision for our Software product line.
  • Define short-term and long-term product strategies to drive growth and market share.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.

Product Roadmap:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, marketing, sales, and customer support) to create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap.
  • Prioritize features, enhancements, and new product launches based on customer needs, market demand, and business goals.

Market Research and Customer Insights:

  • Conduct market research to understand customer pain points, needs, and preferences related to Software products.
  • Collect and analyze data from customer feedback, surveys, and market trends.
  • Translate insights into actionable product improvements and innovations.

Product Development:

  • Work closely with R&D teams to define product requirements, specifications, and performance metrics.
  • Guide product development efforts, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Monitor project progress, address roadblocks, and adjust priorities as needed.

Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create effective go-to-market plans.
  • Develop pricing strategies, product positioning, and messaging.
  • Support product launches, training, and promotional activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline).
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in product management, preferably in analytical instrumentation or scientific equipment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to balance technical expertise with business acumen.

Preferred Characteristics

  • Strong track record in product management in a scientific company.
  • Gas Chromatography experience preferred but not required.
