The opportunity is to join the dynamic Dupixent Canada franchise, a key growth driver within the Sanofi Specialty Care organization. This will mean being entrepreneurial, thinking big, working together as a team, and focusing on science to address the unmet needs of Canadian patients that are suffering from respiratory conditions. Our global ambition is to transform all lives afflicted by Type 2 inflammatory diseases.
The role’s primary responsibility will be to lead the development and execution of innovative brand marketing strategies and tactics that will differentiate Dupixent, to create a best-in-class experience for all stakeholders. The product manager, respiratory will also collaborate within the Respiratory/GI team along with the broader Dupixent franchise to ensure that the marketing strategy is consistent across all indications, to support and strengthen the overall franchise.
This position is based at the Sanofi Campus in Toronto, and will report to the Head of Marketing, Respiratory and Gastroenterology Immunology.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop strategy and brand plan for Dupixent asthma based on patient centric-approach and deep customer insights to create differentiated brand value and establish conditions to maximize long term brand potential.
- Partner with Global teams to support the brand vision for Dupixent asthma.
- Develop strategic scenarios and financials supported by clear assumptions; Critically evaluate and lead the prioritization of strategies for Dupixent asthma.
- Using strategic thinking and expert knowledge of the brand planning process, lead Cross-Functional teams to develop long-range strategy plans to support the brand.
- Deliver tools and manage third party agencies (tools, programs, etc) to maximize / optimize the resources, negotiate times lines, priorities, challenge the agency to optimize their resources, challenge them to delivers, including media and national ad campaigns.
- Develops promotional materials and campaigns, including: sales tools, product messaging, direct mail / blast fax / Internet, PR campaigns, advertising, teleconferences, embracing omnichannel excellence and manage OPEX A&P budget.
- Ensure alignment of Marketing activities with global brands and influence Global activities and networking- key contact at Global Brand Team.
- Analyze, strategize, organize and drive timely execution of annual marketing plan to achieve superior results; Implement the brand positioning and align all messaging and tactics to it.
- Evaluate market environment using all available data on all customers and patients and clearly communicate a full understanding of key dynamics.
- Fully grasp respiratory treatment dynamics, disease epidemiology, and care path. Refine market understanding, anticipation of new competitors, ongoing trial outcomes understanding and related immediate plans of action.
- Proactively identify key customer insights by gathering and analyzing information from different sources. Interact with key customers and patients to fully understand their needs.
- In collaboration with various support functions, ensure sufficient product supply, favourable access, and efficient distribution for Dupixent within Canada.
- In conjunction with Government Affairs and Market Access personnel, secure / maintain reimbursement for assigned product in all provinces and with private payers.
- Actively involve representatives of the salesforce and medical in the development of the strategic brand plan and individual marketing tactics.
- Manage national / local advisory groups and treatment guidelines/consensus statements.
- Organize and enable patient advocacy groups to support product and access to care.
- Demonstrate the Sanofi Play to Win behaviors at all times and expect this from your team.
About You
Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing or business required.
- Minimum 4 years product management experience or equivalent in a specialty care therapeutic area.
- At least two years of experience in a related position (ex: Sales Management, Professional Education, Business Information and Research, Training).
- Experience in developing and managing patient-access programs and contracting an asset.
- Experience successfully launching a biologic in a highly competitive and developed market.
- Sales experience in specialty care market.
- Technical marketing skills (needs, segmentation, SWOT analyses, creation of competitive strategies, risk assessment) and stay abreast of new marketing trends.
- Working knowledge of reimbursement on provincial and private payer levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Second degree, e.g. MBA, PhD, M.Sc.
- Biologics and injectable drugs experience is a strong asset.
- French language proficiency is preferred.
