Position SummaryAs a senior member of the Product Management team, you will own the development of the product roadmap—define, develop, prioritize and communicate the product vision and help deliver the path to success. You will work hand-in-hand with diverse teams to ensure that the products deliver value incrementally to our client and fits within the larger organizational goals.
Primary DutiesProduct Strategy, Roadmap & Vision- Lead product discovery to innovate on the most effective ways to improve the connection between PBCS and our client/users.
- Go deep with your technical counterparts to understand problems and dependencies and help guide the team to efficient and timely solutions to achieve the product vision.
- Help deliver on future-oriented goals and policy-driven mandates.
Backlog Management & Prioritization- Own and prioritize the product backlog, collaborating with Agile teams to define, break down, and manage Features and Epics.
- Ensure backlog aligns with business value and strategic priorities.
- Develop and execute strategies for revenue growth through backlog expansion.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure success and drive data-informed decisions, utilizing strong analytical skills and familiarity with tools such as dashboards, reporting platforms, and data visualization software.
Engagement and Communication with Interested Parties- You will act as the primary liaison between client needs and Agile teams. You will ideally become a go-to person for key clients to engage with—and ultimately trust.
- Regularly update impacted parties, including client leadership and PBCS leadership, on progress, risks, and changes in product direction.
- Partner with key parties to manage expectations, establish priorities, and ensure clear communication across teams. Bring clarity and structure to complex initiatives with a focus on delivering value.
Program Increment & Release Planning- Develop and maintain a product roadmap that balances strategic initiatives and operational needs, driving business planning and securing funding through the creation of effective business cases.
- Participate in PI Planning, ensuring that releases are well-defined, coordinated, and aligned with the roadmap.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth execution of the program increment.
Continuous Improvement & Agile Alignment- Help elevate the Product Management practice at PBCS and create an inclusive and supportive team culture.
- Identify and address challenges unique to a government service provider context, balancing innovation with compliance and accountability.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving iterations based on feedback and data.
- Champion Agile and SAFe practices, ensuring adherence to frameworks and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and help teams internalize agile principles to optimize our product management practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience- 7+ years of relevant professional experience (e.g., project management, agile leadership), with at least 5 years in Product Management.
- Proven track record of successfully driving a product from concept to release; supporting large and complex projects.
- Experience managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to delivery, and understanding product strategy.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications- Highly experienced with agile tools including JIRA, Kendis, and Workday.
- SAFe Agile certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with public sector clients; namely, healthcare related.
- Adept at understanding emerging priorities.
- Deep knowledge of Agile principles and how they scale across larger organizations.
- Ability to develop product roadmaps, define product vision, and make data-driven decisions.
- Track record of delivering high impact projects within large, matrixed organizations/firms.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross functional teams and interested parties at all levels, including executives, business leaders.
- Excellent communicator and highly skilled at conflict resolution and can help foster strong partnerships and strategic alignment.

Travel / Work LocationPBC Solutions is Headquartered in Saanichton, BC (a suburb of Victoria) and also has offices in Burnaby. We operate in a hybrid in-person and virtual environment and the successful candidate must be based in BC with the ability to come to the office when required.

market competitive total compensation, including an annual incentive bonus plan and market-based salaries. The base salary range for this position is
$76,800 - $115,200 annually. Placement in the salary range will be determined by the level of experience and expertise based on corporate guidelines, with the goal to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
