About the Position

Timac Agro Canada is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Product Associate to support our Business Units. This entry-level position aims to develop the candidate into a brand ambassador and product expert. The ideal candidate will have education or experience in Agronomy, with sales experience being a plus but not mandatory. The successful candidate must be outgoing, detail-oriented, and possess an ability to troubleshoot and find solutions when challenges emerge in the field with staff. This role involves market research, public speaking, cross-functional collaboration, and assisting in the creation of product strategies. The Product Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the product meets customer needs and aligns with the company's goals.

*While this is an entry-level position, the Product Associate role is designed as a steppingstone to more advanced roles within the company. This position provides a solid foundation in product knowledge and market strategy, preparing you for future opportunities in agronomic consulting, sales management, and beyond within Timac Agro.*

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Agronomic Consultants (ATCs):
    • Assist ATCs in conducting field demonstrations, collecting data, and preparing reports.
    • Provide technical support to ensure the effective implementation of agronomic solutions.
  • Sales Assistance:
    • Collaborate with RSMs to identify and target potential retail partners.
    • Support sales initiatives by preparing and delivering product presentations.
    • Assist in the development of sales strategies and marketing materials.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
    • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of Timac Agro Canada's product range and their applications.
  • Event Participation:
    • Represent Timac Agro Canada at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
    • Network with industry professionals and promote the company’s products and services.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations to local farmers.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
    • Industry Agronomy Certification or Degree is considered a strong asset (CCA, RtAG, PAg).
  • Experience:
    • Experience in agronomy, sales, or a related field is desirable but not required. This is an entry-level role, making it suitable for recent/new graduates.
    • Experience in product presentations and customer interactions is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of agronomy and/or agricultural practices.
    • Proven sales skills are desirable.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
    • Familiarity with using a customer relationship management system.
    • Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Attributes:
    • Outgoing and personable with a positive attitude.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Salary Range:

  • $45,000-$55,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment:

  • Work location is flexible within the province.
  • Remote-based company, allowing you to conduct administrative work from home. Despite being remote-first, we emphasize collaboration through various channels.
  • Up to 80% travel within the province and occasional overnight travel is required.
  • Occasional weekend availability required.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
