YOUR MISSION

The Producer has the responsibility to define and establish the project’s overall production operations and strategy and to support the creative process in collaboration with the Creative Director. Planning, organizing and supervising are part of the Producer’s day-to-day tasks as they are closely involved in every step, from conception to final operation. They represent the project and manage relationships with the client while ensuring efficient communication between the latter and the production team. They manage risks and advise teams by giving clear recommendations. They work with the client and ensure the total quality of the project’s production delivery. The Producer is a person with highly remarkable leadership and interpersonal skills. They are a talented communicator and a positive influencer.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define, guide and establish the project’s overall strategy (planning, organizing and supervising), in collaboration with the Creative Director;
  • Be responsible for service proposals, contracts, budget breakdowns, schedules, creative processes and objectives in collaboration with the Creative Director;
  • Participate in client briefs; prepare the client project’s contractual and administrative documents, in collaboration with all internal participants and the legal team;
  • Validate potential projects’ feasibility and profitability based on client needs and technical information;
  • Identify and analyze available resources (in-house teams, expertise, suppliers, etc.) for the realization of the project;
  • Participate, develop and maintain the overall business strategy development; identify and analyze the project’s potential risks to minimize and control them while aligned with the unit’s vision and objectives;
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with current, potential clients and also maintain a network of selected professionals in prescribed industries; manage client relations, represent the project and empower the teams, according to the established Unit strategic and financial plan;
  • Assign tasks and delegate to Line Producers, Multimedia Directors and Technical Directors, according to the established strategy and available expertise;
  • Supervise the project’s evolution and ensure a smooth operation by giving advice and recommendations to the teams (technical objectives, efficiency, etc.);
  • Ensure quality control within various departments (project meets client requirements);
  • Plan and release billing while ensuring payment follow-up with the client;
  • Ensure on-budget delivery, with a constant follow-up on costs and overall project progress;
  • Elaborate project post-mortem in collaboration with the involved teams;
  • Act as an expert and positive influencer; assist, train and accompany in relation to the required expertise;
  • Actively participate in the standardization of tools and procedures between different producers.
YOUR JOURNEY INCLUDES
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management and/or in one of Moment Factory’s fields of activity (i.e., Design, High scale events with complex technologies, Set Design, Multimedia Environment);
  • Over 7 years of experience in a management position within a creative environment in the entertainment industry, in multimedia or in another related field involving creative content and technology;
  • Fluency in both French and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills (you will be required to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders in English);
  • Good understanding of a project’s financial and juridical components: contracts, budgets, production costs, billing, taxing, intellectual property, immigration law, etc.;
  • Understanding of each production phase and understanding of multimedia technologies including emerging technologies such as AI, AR, XR; understanding of conception software, 3D design, editing, etc. (essential);
  • Understanding of business aspects specific to MF and issues related to them in order to seize development opportunities;
  • Marketing and negotiation skills;
  • Capacity to foresee international & local cultural trends and social phenomena and be on the lookout for avant-gardist activities within the industry;
  • Extended general knowledge applicable to the fields of activity of the company's clientele;
  • Knowledge of current competition and products available;
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and carry out multiple projects simultaneously, to work under pressure and in a team;
  • Knowledge and/or interest for AI.
