Your mission and responsibilities:

  • Supply of materials based on customer requirements at the lowest price whilst ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
  • Implement Commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.
  • Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
  • Prepare and conduct negotiations for medium Purchasing Volumes to obtain highest feasible savings.
  • Generate, document and implement savings, e.g. CNI; plan, monitor and report on relevant KPI to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.
  • Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality.
  • Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.

Qualification and Experience

  • Conducts detailed regional market and supplier analyses, including demand, financial status, and options/solutions, using quantitative and qualitative methods and past experiences.
  • Independently prepares and conducts basic regional negotiations using existing material field strategies, qualitative comparison criteria, and various negotiation methods (including ANC, e-Auction, CBD), documenting goals and results, and utilizing virtual negotiation tools (e.g., mail, phone, video calls, e-events).
  • Ability to maintain a close relationship with suppliers. Identifies suppliers development measures from the supplier evaluation and implements them.
  • Familiar with Code of Conduct requirements and explains them to suppliers, understands Sustainable Procurement aspects (Assurance, Perception, Growth), and effectively argues against typical supplier objections.
  • Breaks down low-complexity issues into workable components, asks questions to identify symptoms and root causes, suggests appropriate corrective measures, and considers adaptable existing solutions.
  • Good understanding of principles, methods, techniques, and stages of change and change initiatives tied to business performance.
  • Knowledge to support organizational changes by assisting with management goals and objectives, communicates reasons for change, and motivates team members to improve, learn, and participate.
  • Possesses basic knowledge and initial experience, understands principles, processes, tools, and methods, successfully executes standard tasks, and benefits from feedback, coaching, and mentoring from experts.
