Job description

Our ideal candidate is creative, eager to learn, and detail-oriented, with an interest in procurement, marketing and digital marketing.

Mini Italia, based in Montreal, Quebec, is a medium sized company that specializes in importing and distributing Italian food products with offices in Montreal and Toronto. We are committed to finding authentic, high quality and sought-after Italian food products in Italy and bringing them to our wide array of clients that include large grocery chains, restaurants, and boutiques across Canada. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for Italian food and is eager to help grow our business through various marketing strategies. We foster an environment where everyone is encouraged to share their ideas, and witness their visions come to life.

The candidate will be working closely with the company president and will be primarily preparing and managing all product shipments from Italy as well as overseeing all marketing responsibilities such as the web site, monthly promotions, promotions of new products, email communications and design of product catalogues as well as social media. The position is at Mini Italia’s Montreal-North office and is exclusively in-person.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Purchase Order creation and data entry for all incoming merchandise
  • Managing all incoming shipments by being the point of contact for suppliers and shipping companies
  • Serve as the point of contact for all customer and sales representative product inquiries
  • Creating marketing plans to promote new items with monthly promotions and social media
  • Managing all social media accounts and web site
  • Assisting in the preparation of product catalogues, client presentations and proposals
  • Other analysis and marketing-related tasks

What We're Looking For:

  • Bilingualism (ENG and FR)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organized and resourceful
  • Ability to work independently and report back to the team
  • Creative and able to take initiative
  • Intermediate-Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Report Building skills
  • Bachelor degree in supply chain, international business, marketing, or a related field
  • Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Experience in small teams is a plus
  • Desire to learn more about the importing and distribution process of Italian food products across Canada
  • Knowledge of Italian language and/or food products is an asset
