The Italian Trade Commission (ITC) is seeking a PROCUREMENT DESK OFFICER, in charge of the Procurement Desk/Osservatorio Gare e Appalti at its Montreal Office
The Procurement Desk Officer will support the ITC in assisting Italian companies interested in bidding or subcontracting opportunities for contracts for the provision of goods, services and works, within the Canadian marketplace.
More in detail, the objective of the Procurement Desk/Osservatorio Gare e Appalti is to promote and support the participation of Italian companies in the Canadian tendering and procurement system held by both public and private entities, through a series of targeted activities of monitoring, analysis and reporting of the main opportunities existing in Canada. The Desk is becoming a key point of contact and an essential information and competence center for Italian companies wishing to participate in Canadian tenders. To ensure effective monitoring of business opportunities, the Desk relies on direct interaction with contracting authorities and on specific resources such as specialized databases, sectoral studies and the participation in webinars, conferences, networking events that will allow it to provide relevant input and analysis.
The position allows the successful candidate to enter a lively and dynamic work environment, with ample opportunities to develop a range of professional skills by training on the job and work experience.

Salary and Compensation
The position is temporary and full-time, i.e. 35 hours a week in presence at ITC’s office in Montréal. No remote working options are offered.
Salary and compensation will be commensurate with experience and up to 5.200,00 cad per month, with an end of contract bonus of up to a month’s salary per year worked, depending on performance.
The first temporary contract will last for six months. The ITC might renew it or not, depending on performance and availability of funds. This assignment is project based and does not constitute a basis for an open ended hire.

o citizenships (for each possessed)
o fiscal residency in Canada
o eligibility to work in Canada (a Permanent residence for non-Canadian citizens or proof of Canadian citizenship)
o clean Canadian criminal record certificate
o in case of other citizenship(s), a clean criminal record certificate issued by the competent authorities of each country of citizenship

Selection Procedure
Candidates possessing all of the listed above requirements will be convened for a session lasting about 2 hours, at ITC’s premises in Montréal, located at 1000 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Suite 1720, including a few written tests, in the week of January 13, 2025. Candidates qualifying for an interview will be convened shortly thereafter, with an option to conduct the interview remotely.
The Italian Trade Commission does not reimburse any travel or relocation costs related to this selection process and the subsequent assignment.
