Position Summary:

Join us and be part of a highly dynamic and competent Engineering Team responsible for meeting quality, productivity, and cost targets in a high volume, multi-product, and life science regulated environment by developing effective, world-class engineering solutions.

In this role, you will support process characterization for existing products and metrology tools as well as improvement and sustaining efforts in a high-volume biotech production environment. You will collaborate closely with departments including manufacturing, equipment engineering, analytical sciences, facilities, supply chain, and quality assurance to develop processes for new products, as well as to sustain and enhance processes for existing products.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes production and field quality data, to ensure Safety, Availability, Quality, Cost and Compliance targets for process and products are met.
  • Perform troubleshooting, failure analysis, root cause identification and provide optimized preventive or corrective actions for line issues related to yield, process, and quality of product.
  • Constructs and executes controlled experiments to address production and quality issues and drives implementation of solutions to meet operation goals.
  • Proactively drives process improvement activities through engineering problem-solving methodology (8D, DOE, FMEA, Ishikawa, Six Sigma, etc.) to ascertain and recommend improvements to processes or test methods.
  • Lead or support improvement projects and drive change management associated with implementing identified deliverables.
  • Ensure process systems and equipment are in compliance with company quality system and regulatory requirements.

Competencies:

  • Technical and Engineering Knowledge: Demonstrates strong engineering principles, skill sets may include strong understanding of chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, and fluid mechanics.
  • Project Management Skills: Exhibit ability to manage projects from initiation to closure while ensuring that scope, resources, and schedule requirements are met with the collaboration of cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrates motivation to develop deep technical depth in area-of-expertise and approaches problems in a rational manner using sound strategies that ensure comprehensive understanding and effective resolution.
  • Customer-Centric Focus: Ensures that a positive customer experience informs both the approach to work and the quality demonstrated.
  • Change Management: Develops methods for supporting innovation and change across the organization.

Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science in Chemical, Biochemistry, Biomedical, or Material.
  • Or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field with strong knowledge of biology and chemistry.
  • Candidates with more years of relevant experience may be considered for a senior role.

Position Requirements:

  • Resilient, able to work well under stress, both internally and across functions.
  • Exhibit Analytical, Problem Solving, and Project Management skills.
  • Passionate to drive continuous improvements and process streamlining.
  • Good understanding of Quality Assurance, Process Control Knowledge.
  • MDSAP Certified or experience in FDA-regulated environment is a plus.
  • Proactive, self-motivating, and a team player.
  • Able to work in a manufacturing environment with possible exposure to loud noise.
  • Able to identify components with different colors (using visual).
