Summary:
The Project Manager for the Core Product Team is responsible for the development and management of product roadmaps, lifecycle management, tracking delivery dates, and overseeing release management. This role ensures that products meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and align with the strategic goals of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Roadmap Development and Management:
    • Work closely with Product Line Managers and Platform Product Owners to develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps.
    • Ensure alignment with the overall product strategy and business objectives.
  2. Product Lifecycle Management:
    • Assist the Core Product team in managing the entire product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
    • Track product performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  3. Delivery and Release Management:
    • Track delivery dates and ensure timely product releases.
    • Oversee the release management process, working cross-functionally to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales.
    • Communicate roadmap updates and progress to relevant stakeholders.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
    • Address and resolve any product-related issues promptly.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, or Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7 years of project management experience delivering large, complex projects.
  • Strategic leadership - a solution-oriented strategic thinker who is a quick learner and able to influence an organization at all levels and lead efforts to improve and strengthen organization effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills with a demonstrated ability to find a common solution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Additional Assets:

  • Experience in agile software development and best practices.
  • Experience in both software, hardware, and IoT platforms.
  • Backlog and Sprint development knowledge (i.e. Jira)
  • Excellent written and oral communications.
  • Excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure.
  • A demonstrated track record of delivering programs/projects under demanding timelines.
  • Decision making and negotiation skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
