Principal Front-End Software Developer

What to expect

We're looking for a Principal Front-End Developer to join our team and help drive the evolution of our cloud-based platform's user interface. The Rebus Platform offers exceptional experiences for distribution teams through real-time, intelligent visibility into warehouse operations.

Once you join our team, you will:

1. Provide deep expertise in front-end technologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML) while maintaining broad familiarity with back-end technologies for effective integration.
2. Lead the development of front-end architecture and user interface standards for the Rebus platform.
3. Create robust, accessible, and performant technical UI designs that align with business goals and provide an excellent user experience.
4. Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end developers to ensure cohesive and intuitive front-end solutions.
5. Act as the primary technical mentor for the front-end development team, fostering continuous learning and growth.
6. Stay abreast of emerging trends in front-end development, ensuring the Rebus platform remains modern and competitive.
7. Perform code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, high-quality code, and low defect rates.
8. Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into front-end technical solutions.

Skills & Experience

1. Extensive experience in front-end development, with mastery of the modern Angular framework.
2. Expertise in building responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
3. Deep understanding of front-end performance optimization and best practices.
4. Strong ability to lead technical discussions and influence decision-making across teams and stakeholders.
5. Experience collaborating with designers and back-end teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
6. Advanced communication skills to present complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
7. Proven leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and grow the front-end development team.
8. Hybrid in Montreal with one day in office per week.
