GTT's client, a leading Canadian financial technology company, is seeking a Senior Principal Enterprise Architect to work in the Platform Deployed Team. Operating in a flat, agile, and iterative environment, this company prioritizes speed and innovation to maintain its competitive edge. With plans to scale rapidly from 800 to over 1,100 employees within the next 24 months, this role offers an exciting opportunity for growth and a meaningful impact. The position comes with a competitive base salary, industry-leading bonus structure, and a comprehensive benefits package. This role requires onsite presence 3-days per week in downtown Toronto.
This role is integral to a transformative program designed to implement the ISO 20022 messaging standard, enhancing payment data richness while fortifying fraud mitigation capabilities through a centralized fraud utility service. Operating in a fast-paced Agile environment, this position requires a strategic leader who can seamlessly align product, technology, and business objectives to deliver mission-critical projects.
The Senior Principal Enterprise Architect —reporting to the Leader, Architecture—will be deployed to a platform to support its objectives and guide it on a multi-year journey for technology transformation. Working directly with the platform leadership and owners, the Architect will ensure the backlog includes what is necessary to meet enterprise objectives and help prioritize related work into release plans that both deliver business value and support technology transformation over time.
The successful candidate will have deep experience in delivering technological platform services to product line teams. The platforms you have enabled may include major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as popular application services offered across such platforms for databases, container management, service meshes, event streaming, cryptographic material management, etc., and integrated SaaS solutions for functions like Identity and Access Management (IAM), Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), and more. With this kind of experience under your belt, we will support you to develop into a new kind of "enterprise architect" that is far from the old school ivory tower types that go by the same name. The expectation will be to blend engineering with design and architecture in this role to shift architecture left in the SDLC, reducing the need for review cycles by providing agile development teams with solutions they can drop directly into their platforms from day one to be "pre-compliant" with enterprise standards. It's a different kind of mindset for architects.
