Examines and treats patients with a wide range of conditions and refers those patients with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. Typical job duties include taking patient histories, performing or requesting diagnostic tests, making diagnoses, prescribing treatment, performing follow-up examinations, as well as educating patients in disease prevention and health maintenance. Additional duties include preparing medical records, clinical reports, and correspondence.
Graduate of a 4-year Medical School; completion of a U.S. residency program in Med/Peds, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine; board certified or board eligible in their specialty; minimum of 2 years’ experience as a primary care physician preferred; extensive knowledge of medical and diagnostic procedures; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; active and unrestricted CA medical license; active and unrestricted DEA license.
Actual annual compensation is based on RVUs.
