Primary Care Physician - Independent Contractor (32 hours per week)

Overview

Examines and treats patients with a wide range of conditions and refers those patients with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. Typical job duties include taking patient histories, performing or requesting diagnostic tests, making diagnoses, prescribing treatment, performing follow-up examinations, as well as educating patients in disease prevention and health maintenance. Additional duties include preparing medical records, clinical reports, and correspondence.

Responsibilities

1. Examine and diagnose patients, order appropriate diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
2. Develop and manage treatment plans for patients, including preventive care and health maintenance.
3. Educate patients and families about health issues, disease prevention, and medical treatments.
4. Refer patients to specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
5. Communicate with other healthcare providers to coordinate quality patient care.
6. Keep detailed medical records and document patient care activities.

Qualifications

Graduate of a 4-year Medical School; completion of a U.S. residency program in Med/Peds, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine; board certified or board eligible in their specialty; minimum of 2 years’ experience as a primary care physician preferred; extensive knowledge of medical and diagnostic procedures; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; active and unrestricted CA medical license; active and unrestricted DEA license.

Compensation

Actual annual compensation is based on RVUs.

Minimum:

USD $240,000.00

Maximum:

USD $270,000.00
