Description

The Powertrain Controls Engineer – Associate is responsible for new feature development and enhancements to existing algorithms. The Powertrain Controls Engineer – Associate will work closely with a cross-functional team, utilizing various tools (vehicle, HIL, Dyno, Virtual, rapid prototyping) through the V-model development process to ensure quality and robustness of the production algorithms.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Interface with systems and calibration to fully understand the requirements.
  2. Develop implementation strategies.
  3. Assess and document the impacts against regulatory requirements.
  4. Markup models to ensure the design meets functional/operational requirements.
  5. Validate the design during the production process.
  6. Ensure project is on track by developing plans, tracking progress, and presenting technical reports to management and project chiefs.
  7. Participate in the decision-making process on controls strategy design to achieve functional objectives.
Requirements

100% remote. Put on the resume where the candidate lives in Ontario.

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University.
  2. 1-3 years of engineering experience.
  3. Knowledgeable in MATLAB/Simulink.
  4. Knowledgeable in Powertrain systems - specifically, computer-based tools and process-based development, and calibration refinement.
  5. Embedded software experience.
  6. Electronic module/system experience.
