Our Maintenance Department is looking for a certified 4th Class Power Engineer to join the team!
This is a temporary position with full-time hours that will end at the closing of the facility.

What’s involved in this Power Engineer role:
- Operating and maintaining the ammonia refrigeration systems within code requirement
- Operating and maintaining high pressure steam boilers
- Operating and maintaining wastewater treatment system
- Monitoring and responding to plant alarms
- Performing specific preventative maintenance work and lubrication tasks
- Updating maintenance logs and records
- Completing work orders as assigned by Chief Engineer
- Working with others to plan and coordinate the completion of work
- Performing building maintenance tasks throughout the facility as needed
- Providing a high level of customer service through a proactive approach to daily plant problems and issues
- Driving innovation and continuous improvement, utilizing his/her skills, observations, and participation
- Ensuring all maintenance work is conducted within Safety, Food Safety, and Product Quality fundamental requirements
What you need to join our Winnipeg team:
- 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate
- Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are preferred
- Must be physically fit with a good attendance and personal safety record
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team member
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Good written and oral communication skills essential
- The successful candidate must be willing to work night shifts including weekend shifts
- Previous relevant experience in food processing/manufacturing industry is preferred
