Lead Java Developer

This is with a large IT services firm for an international investment in Canada.

Candidate must have legal work status for Canada.

Client Location is Montreal, Quebec or Mississauga, ON.

Hybrid - In-Office 3 days per week.

Perm/FT role, salary and benefits or on contract - 6 months to start at market rate.

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer - intermediate and senior level:

1. Candidates should have a strong BI background.
2. Strong SQL Skills.
3. Experience in Data Modeling and Semantic Modeling.
4. Should have a financial services background.
5. Good to Have: Experience in tools like Cube Dev, AtScale, Kyvos.

Required Skills:

Power BI:

1. Power BI Desktop features.
2. DAX/M query.
3. Power BI Service features.

SQL:

1. Data Modelling Concepts (Star Schema & Snowflake Schema), normal forms.
2. SQL Joins & Unions (Scenario Based).
3. Window Functions.
4. Time Intelligence Functions.
5. SCD, Stored Proc, Cursors, Views, materialized views, etc.

Power BI Advanced:

1. Paginated Reports (Power BI).
2. PBRS.
3. Tabular Editor.
4. Power On.

Bilingual - French & English is an asset.
