Poultry Farm Labourer

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma.

Work site environment: Chicken farming, Layer poultry farming. Dusty, Noisy, Odours.

Work setting: Staff accommodation available. Various locations.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Handling animals
• Monitoring animal health
• Feed and tend animals
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• Write daily basic progress reports
• Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops

• Travel expenses paid by employer
