The Department of Community Health and Epidemiology is seeking highly motivated candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellowship. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Alexa Yakubovich and the Violence Against Women Research Team, who focus on strengthening systems responses to violence against women and gender diverse people. The team works with community, practice, and policy partners on studies that use qualitative, quantitative, mixed, and knowledge synthesis methods to understand burdens of violence and evaluate intervention and policy responses. Over the next five years, we will be leading a program of work focused on designing, implementing, and evaluating intervention strategies that strengthen health systems responses to violence in Canada. Under the supervision of Dr. Yakubovich, the Postdoctoral Fellow will take a leadership role in in supporting all aspects of the studies, including qualitative and quantitative data collection, data management and analysis, and the preparation of manuscripts, reports, and presentations. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be involved in intervention research, implementation science, and partnership-based research projects using mixed methods. The successful candidate will be supported in applying for competitive postdoctoral fellowships.
