Reporting to the Manager, Family and Income Stability, the Policy & Procedure Coordinator is responsible for assessing and monitoring performance to ensure Ontario Works regulatory requirements are met. This position will support the development of a culture of quality and process improvement throughout the department.
Responsibilities- Work with program staff of all levels to support, develop and improve the quality of services being delivered to clients served.
- Conduct case reviews for all permanent staff to oversee adherence to Provincial regulatory standards.
- Compile, analyze, and share results from monthly and quarterly reports to inform training needs.
- Assess staff performance and learning needs to support provincial Stability Support deliverables.
- Create, maintain and update all process related documents for the department.
- Manage projects for new provincial and local initiatives, including development of project plans.
- Partner with internal and external customers to identify opportunities and process improvements.
- Collaborate with program staff at all levels to promote engagement in problem-solving and goal-setting.
- Assist Manager with research and writing of reports as required.
- Lead client care quality improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Business Administration or equivalent with courses in research methods and data analytics.
- Considerable experience in human service program delivery.
- A minimum of 4 years progressive experience in Ontario Works and/or Ontario Disability Support.
- Project management experience is an asset.
- Superior communication, problem solving, and analytical abilities.
- Well-developed written communication skills and demonstrated report-writing experience.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, mentor team members, and resolve conflict.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the O.W. Act and understanding of departmental policies.
- Working knowledge of legislation related to other government social assistance programs is an asset.
- Proficient in the use of the provincial computer system SAMS and Microsoft Suite.
- Formal Quality training is an asset.
