Marketing Statement
Metro Vancouver Transit Police ("Transit Police") is the leader in regional public transit policing, operating across 22 communities. It provides policing services to all modes of transit: Bus, SeaBus, SkyTrain, and West Coast Express. In partnership with cross-regional partners, Transit Police prevents crime and provides coordinated police services to transit users throughout the region. It also seeks to have a workforce that is responsive to and reflective of the many diverse communities it serves.

Responsibilities
Performs a variety of clerical tasks including working in the Police Records Information Management Environment (PRIME) and processing various police records and tickets. Works at the Public Service Counter to handle all incoming calls and public inquiries at the window. Coordinates mail services and maintains the File Room.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Completion of Grade 12 with clerical skills including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Experience
Basic requirements are administrative office and customer service experience. Previous experience in Law Enforcement, and/or working with Police Records Information Management Environment (PRIME) would be considered an asset for the selection process. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills to be effective in requesting and delivering information; adaptability in responding to changing conditions and priorities; attention to detail to critically evaluate data and information with accuracy and perception; must be a team player with a positive attitude who collaborates with others; have the ability to deal courteously, tactfully, and diplomatically with the general public as well as internal and external customers.
Other Information
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario, and behavioral descriptive interview questions.
This position is full-time from Monday to Friday 8-4pm. This position is required to work at the Sapperton HQ Office and/or the Bridgeport Office.
Please note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Rate of Pay
Group 5: $29.95 - $35.99 per hour ($4,883 - $5,869 monthly)
