We are seeking a Plumber for our various remote Canadian project locations!

Job Requirements:

MATRIX is looking for an experienced Journeyperson Plumber that is team-oriented, adaptable, highly motivated, with acute attention to detail. You will play a key role at our remote camps by supporting the team to complete the construction of these camps. This position reports to the Team Lead and/or Camp Manager. This position will be working in various locations at our remote camps both in set-up and maintenance roles. This is a fly-in/fly-out position.

Responsibilities:

• Perform plumbing and general maintenance to gas appliances and lines.
• Maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, drinking water treatment and distribution system.
• Practice and promote company environmental, health, safety, and operational policies and procedures.
• Maintain a daily log of activities and system logs as required.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor which may include duties and labour outside the trade(s).
• Work cooperatively as a member of the Team.
• Ensure that safety issues are reported and promptly remedied.
• Demonstrate safety leadership within a team environment and promote environmental awareness in all work or task-related duties.
• Maintain a high standard of performance in your duties.
• Other duties may be assigned from time to time as required by the Company.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

• Minimum of 2-3 years working in a construction field/camp position.
• Certified Journeyman Plumber (Red Seal)
• Gasfitter "B" ticket
• HVAC and/or Refrigeration experience or certification is a definite asset to the position.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work a rotation schedule and a dynamic schedule.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.
• Ability to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 - 12 hour shift.

Preferred Licensing & Certifications:

• Standard First Aid Certification.
• WHIMS Certification.
• Previous experience working in a remote camp setting.
• Proficient in all aspects of plumbing repair and replacement.
