PLC Engineer

Agilus is recruiting for a PLC Engineer in the Automotive industry in Windsor, Ontario.

A typical day:

1. Develop and maintain PLC control systems using Allen Bradley Studio 5000
2. Maintain Safety equipment such as Safety PLCs, light Curtains, Fanuc DCS
3. Develop and maintain HMI systems using Allen Bradley Factory Talk View ME Software
4. Understand and control ABB and Fanuc Robots, including app errors and functions
5. Install and maintain SEW, Allen Bradley and Nidec/Comau Frequency Drives
6. Maintain and troubleshoot Windows-based control systems, DeviceNet, and Ethernet networks, including RsNetWorx
7. Troubleshoot and maintain sealer/adhesive systems, resistance and MIG welding, belt transfers, and robotic material handling systems
8. Adhere to CSA safety standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with industry-specific safety guidelines

Successful candidates will have:

1. Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering, or equivalent, and/or with 5 years controls experience
2. Proficient in RsNetworx
3. Experience in automotive manufacturing including Sealer/Adhesive, Resistance and Mig welding, Belt transfers, and robotic material handling
4. Proficiency in Windows and networking
5. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
