As a Platform Specialist - Integrations, you will play a crucial role in our Software Engineering Group, collaborating with globally distributed teams, including business representatives, business analysts, architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement solutions. What you'll do
- Review software requirements efficiently to ensure we meet our high standards.
- Build architectural diagrams and design documents that outline flawless solutions.
- Design screens, business rules, and workflow changes to streamline processes.
- Write programs, configure, package, and deploy software to meet our clients' needs.
- Establish and follow coding standards to maintain consistency and quality.
- Enforce patterns that ensure our solutions are robust and scalable.
- Provide industry SME knowledge to improve our team's capabilities.
- Debug and unit test code to ensure it meets our strict quality criteria.
- Perform peer code reviews to foster a collaborative and learning environment.
- Mentor junior resources to nurture the next generation of talent.
What you'll bring
- A Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Over 5 years’ experience in API Application Development.
- Proven experience integrating Guidewire PC/BC/CC/CM and downstream systems.
- Expertise in Java, configuration, and coding using tools and accelerators, knowledge of Guidewire Batch, and real-time integrations.
- Ability to read code in other languages and reverse engineer products.
- Solid experience in Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
- Domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance and Broker Connectivity.
- Over 5 years of experience in API design and development, and coding RESTful APIs.
- Proficient in multiple programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, etc.
- Extensive experience with relational databases and SQL, specifically MS SQL Server & Transact SQL.
- Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications.
- Experience creating modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON.
- In-depth understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.
