Atlas Structural Systems is a manufacturer specializing in the design and manufacture of pre-engineered structural systems for commercial and residential construction projects in Eastern Canada. Plant Managers are leaders who are responsible for ensuring employee safety, producing quality products, providing superior customer service and using resources efficiently.

Responsibilities:

1. Accountable for all areas of the plant to ensure high standards of quality, safety and customer service
2. Coordinates work in various departments and facilitates improvement initiatives
3. Manages employee performance, identifies training opportunities and develops talent to align with future business requirements
4. Delivers on production and delivery targets
5. Monitors cost of production to identify opportunities to reduce cost and increase efficiency
6. Ensures inventory is properly accounted for and accurate
7. Controls inventory levels of finished and raw materials to the optimum levels required to meet customer delivery expectations
8. Creates a safety culture that results in constant improvement in safety metrics
9. Ensures that all equipment is being properly used and maintained

Requirements:

1. Completed post secondary education with a preference given to an engineering discipline
2. 5+ years of successful management or supervisory experience
3. Experience in the truss specialization or manufacturing is considered an asset
4. People leader with excellent coaching and mentoring skills
5. Change agent with ability to implement process improvement and evaluate alternate solutions
6. Excellent understanding of budgetary development and financial management
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. Ability to leverage technology for project management, analysis and solving problems (including Microsoft Office Suite)
