About Our Client

Our client for the Plant Manager opportunity is a fast-growing manufacturer and supplier for various industries. This company is growing through organic growth and acquisitions.

The Plant Manager will be a key leader for the North American operations in charge of managing and improving operations and manufacturing at one of their most important sites. The Plant Manager will have full site responsibility and be leading a plant management team over several value streams with a complex operation.

Job Description

  1. Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction, and cost-effective management of resources.
  2. Establish and implement safety programs in line with company values and policies.
  3. Responsible for day-to-day management of the business to achieve the budgeted operating profit and working capital targets.
  4. Comply with direction obtained from the Board of Directors, CEO, CFO, and Group Operations Director.
  5. Review monthly financial pack to determine progress and status in obtaining objectives and revise plans as necessary in accordance with current conditions to meet overall objectives.
  6. Ensure adequate resources (personnel, materials, equipment, and training) are provided to meet company objectives.
  7. Provide mentoring and guidance to employees.
  8. Chair monthly management meetings to evaluate business performance and strive for continual improvement.
  9. Responsible for meeting customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements of the business.
  10. Establish a work environment conducive to maintaining good employee morale.
  11. Provide suitable compensation and benefits to maintain existing employees and stay competitive in the market when recruiting new employees.
  12. Conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports and ensure that all managers do the same for their employees.
  13. Develop and implement a three-year plan in line with company objectives to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in General Management, Plant Management, or Operations Management with full plant and operations responsibility.
  3. 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, and operations.
  4. Strong technical background and experience with engineering and maintenance.
  5. Strong experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
  6. Experience working in regulated industries and familiarity with government contracts is highly preferred.
  7. Six Sigma and Lean certifications are highly preferred but not required.
  8. Knowledge of safety programs, OSHA standards, and federal regulations for safety.
  9. Strong proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products.
  10. Experience working in a global organization is preferred.

What's on Offer
