Together, we’re helping Canada’s animal feed manufacturers increase their product quality and embrace a circular economy for the good of business and nature alike. When it comes to recovering and upcycling food by-products, we’re not exactly new kids on the block. In fact, we helped build the block. And, today, we rely on over fifty years of industry experience and expertise.

We are seeking a skilled and analytical individual to support our two operating sites in Ontario (Peterborough and Petersburg). As a key partner to operations leadership, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and reporting on operational performance, developing key performance indicators, and driving strategic initiatives.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Finance, based on Montréal’s South Shore, you will work closely with our Ontario-based general manager and plant manager to support business growth, optimize processes, and implement best practices. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about operational excellence, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the budgeting process for our two Ontario sites (Peterborough and Petersburg).
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports to support Ontario divisions and senior management.
  • Maintain financial forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key operational performance indicators to drive efficiency and performance improvements.
  • Conduct variance analysis on budgets and provide actionable insights to the operational team regarding production performance.
  • Partner with operations and divisional leaders to analyze expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enhance financial efficiency.
  • Support process improvements within the finance department and contribute to the implementation of BI and reporting tools.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance function.

What we offer:

  • A varied and stimulating role with high added value.
  • Competitive salary including an annual bonus.
  • Full range of benefits: group insurance, RRSP with employer's contribution, telemedicine, employee and family assistance program, fitness and health program, etc.
  • A welcoming, warm, stimulating, and customer-focused work environment.
  • A family business with human values and a hardworking and dynamic team who also knows how to relax and have fun.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, finance, or accounting.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance, administration, or related functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • CPA designation.
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills (advanced Excel).
  • Knowledge of POWERBI and other BI tools.
  • Strong communication and outreach skills.
  • Self-starter and able to set priorities and achieve objectives.
  • Good leadership skills and ability to take ownership of projects.
  • Results-oriented and deadline-driven.
