Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst
Department: Planning
Reporting To: Manager, Production Planning
Location: Etobicoke, Toronto
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Analyst (SC Analyst) is responsible for supporting supply chain initiatives through data analysis, ERP system implementation, process improvements, and reporting. This individual will work cross-functionally with business units, supporting ERP (SAP) implementation and optimization, driving continuous improvements, and analyzing supply chain data to support cost reduction and operational efficiency. The SC Analyst will also play a critical role in ensuring that supply chain activities align with business objectives and customer expectations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
ERP Implementation Support
- Assist in data migration preparation activities, including the extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and validation of data.
- Ensure data integrity by handling manual activities like keying in purchase orders, fixing customer data, updating sales orders, and others.
- Document SAP processes and support the implementation of SAP's supply chain modules, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for SAP implementation and assist with dry run activities.
- Provide end-user support by acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), troubleshooting and identifying root causes of issues related to user errors, data quality, missing configurations, etc.
- Support Post-Go-Live activities by assisting Business Process Owners (BPOs) and SMEs with their responsibilities as the project progresses.
Data Management & Analysis
- Create presentations, dashboards, and analysis to present key findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare ad hoc and standardized reports to support business analysis and decision-making.
- Analyze forecasted operational capacity and costs, and stakeholder alignment to provide actionable recommendations for operational improvements.
- Ensure post-project analysis to validate that implemented changes are delivering on the anticipated business case outcomes.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain performance, ensuring that the business is meeting its operational and service goals.
Support and Drive Continuous Improvement
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and continuous improvement in Supply Chain Operations.
- Lead initiatives to implement best practices, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain network. Support supply chain optimization projects aimed at reducing costs, improving performance, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems, such as supply chain management software or automation tools, to improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making within the supply chain.
Training
- Provide training support by conducting user training and deploying materials related to SAP functionality.
Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Educational Requirements: College Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related fields.
Minimum Experience/Field: 3-5 yrs. of experience in Supply Chain or in the SC Analyst role.
- Proficiency with Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Experience in Manufacturing Industry is an asset. Experience with SAP, PowerBI, Tableau, Data Visualization Tool is an asset.
- Project Management Skills – familiarity with project tools such as MS Project is an asset.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional Education/Experience/Skills: Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large sets of data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
