Summary

This role will act as the Global Demand Planner for Portfolio Solutions and Global Accounts designed and manufactured network switching, storage, and server products.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Sales to understand future demand, creating the product forecast based on expectations and historical performance, working with senior leadership to ensure consensus on the plan, and working with the sites to enter and execute the plan.

Demonstrated skills in RapidResponse and Demand Analytics are mandatory and will be crucial tools for the role.

Responsibilities

This role will also be called upon to support special projects with the operations teams. This may involve new process design, SAP or RR support, or other operational support. Evening calls with Asia are a part of this job.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manages overall monthly Sales & Operations Planning Cycle for HPS Portfolio Solutions business.
  • Meets and collaborates with sales, GCBU, SSCM on market data/expected sales by product.
  • Creates recommendations for Strategic demand buffer to enable won customer upsides and new sales growth.
  • Rolls up demand and forecast data and provides recommended demand plan.
  • Summarizes monthly plan/changes and prepares data in appropriate formats for required levels of approval.
  • Performs E&O Analysis, finds outliers, recommends actions, summarizes for leadership.
  • Leads Quarterly E&O reviews with GCBU, PLM, Finance to gain consensus on mitigation/disposition/scrap actions, follows up to closure.
  • Creates recommendations for Provisions where following Policy creates risk.
  • Hosts E&O and Inventory reviews with sites.
  • Quarterly Component Library analysis, review, and implementation.
  • Provides direction/guidance to site SCM Operations teams on forecast loads for the Master Production Schedule.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.
  • Knowledge of Celestica's global supply chain including strategies and objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of IT concepts and systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of advanced planning systems and techniques.
  • Good understanding of the Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management and preferably APICs or College level Production Management.
  • Expert level skills in Demand and supply planning.
  • Fundamental understanding of SAP and Supply & Planning parameters and set ups.
  • Expert level excel skills (Formulas, Pivot tables, shortcuts).
  • Basic proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge in Rapid Response for own use as well as understanding of how it is used by the sites.
  • Basic understanding of how to navigate NGPLM.
  • Basic understanding of finance and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Cross functional collaboration.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • Occasional overnight travel is required.

Typical Experience

  • Six to eight years relevant experience.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Educational requirements may vary by geography.
