Position Summary

Our culinary mission is to provide the Hollyburn Membership with an exceptional food and beverage experience in a premium casual dining environment. We aim to consistently deliver outstanding food and hospitality, creating an experience that Members are proud to share with family and friends. As a Pizza Line Cook, you will play a key role on the restaurant’s culinary team, specializing in preparing high-quality pizzas with precision and consistency. Your expertise in dough handling, pizza assembly, and oven operation will directly contribute to the successful execution of this mission.

Position Responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook pizzas following established recipes and portion guidelines, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
2. Operate forno ovens and other kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
3. Hand-stretch dough, prepare toppings, and assemble pizzas with precision and speed.
4. Follow prep lists to complete assigned tasks, including dough preparation, sauce preparation, and maintaining organized ingredient stations.
5. Monitor pizza inventory levels, ensuring toppings, sauces, and dough are adequately stocked throughout shifts.
6. Maintain a clean and sanitary pizza station, adhering to all food safety and health regulations.
7. Ensure proper handling and storage of pizza ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.
8. Collaborate with team members to support a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
9. Take direction from supervisors and execute additional kitchen duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications

1. Minimum of two years’ experience in a kitchen environment (preferably in pizza preparation).
2. Culinary certification or equivalent professional cooking experience is an asset.
3. Strong understanding of safe and sanitary food handling practices.
4. Experience hand-stretching dough and operating pizza ovens is an asset.
5. Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
7. Keen attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
8. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and manage the demands of a busy kitchen.
9. Own transportation is an asset due to the Club's remote location.
10. Candidates 19 years or older must agree to complete a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector search (fully reimbursed upon hire).

Working Conditions:

This position operates 100% on-site. Regular evenings or weekend work may be required during peak periods or special events. Own transportation is an asset as public transportation is not frequent to/from the Club.
