Piano Teacher

Resound School of Music is on the lookout for some amazing piano teachers for in-home piano lessons in Calgary ,  AB. We are seeking passionate instructors with exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with students of all ages and backgrounds!

Responsibilities

Piano teachers are responsible for teaching private piano lessons, ranging from 30 to 60 minutes each. As we are an at-home music school, teachers are responsible for commuting to their students' homes to teach their scheduled lessons. Teachers will develop individual lesson plans in relation to each of their students' goals and interests. Additionally, they are expected to communicate with their students and their parents about their progress, and help prepare students for performances, exams, auditions, and competitions.

Qualifications

• A high level of musical competence and proficiency on the piano
• Ability to teach piano to different skill levels and a variety of musical styles
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle to travel to lessons
• No criminal history. Understand that if you are hired, you will be subject to an RCMP criminal record check

• High school diploma is required for this position
• Post-secondary education or equivalent is preferred

• Ability to connect with a wide range of students of different ages and backgrounds

Our starting rate ranges from $42.00-$47.00 per hour (plus an additional $5.00-$10.00 travel bonus for in-home lessons). Hourly rate is determined based on education level, teaching experience, duration with the company, and job performance. We also believe in promoting from within and provide opportunities for growth and advancement for those who demonstrate the right characteristics.
