Current Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist at David Grant Medical Center (DGMC), Travis AFB, CA

Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be at David Grant Medical Center (DGMC), Travis AFB, CA. HCWs shall receive notification two weeks prior to reassignment to another location within a 40-mile commuting radius of their assigned MTF.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Degree/Education: Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or Master's degree in physical therapy, or Baccalaureate degree for graduates prior to January 1, 2002.
  2. Experience: At least 24 months of experience within the past 36 months as a physical therapist.
  3. Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

HCW Duties:

  1. Provide appropriate therapeutic procedures and a full range of therapy services in support of patient referrals.
  2. Ensure all patient contact and care is safe, timely, and compliant with treatment goals.
  3. Test and measure the patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and/or respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
  4. Administer treatments involving application of physical agents and evaluate effects of treatment.
  5. Instruct patients and families in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
  6. Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices.
  7. Provide documented treatment and discharge recommendations.
  8. Participate in rehabilitation team meetings and provide clinical supervision to assistants and students.

Hours of Performance: Sunday – Saturday 0730-1630, 8-hour workdays not to exceed 40 hours/week.

Scheduling: The schedule is maintained by clinic personnel based on demands of the clinic. The specific schedule for each two-week period will be provided one month in advance.

Healthcare Requirements:

  1. Contractor shall provide documentation certifying health requirements such as immunizations and medical testing when required.
  2. HCWs with a baseline positive test for tuberculosis must receive a chest radiograph within the past 12 months.

Government Security Process:

  1. HCWs shall be subject to security investigative processes, including fingerprinting during the first week of assignment.
