Cowichan District Hospital is hiring. Multiple pharmacy technician opportunities are available at CDH today with our new state-of-the-art replacement hospital set to open its doors in 2027. Requirements

  • Grade 12 and graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (or eligibility for registration).

Salary

Hourly rate: $34.18

New World-Class Hospital

The vision for a new Cowichan District Hospital reflects the deep partnerships and respectful collaboration that makes the Cowichan Valley an exceptional place to live, work and learn. The hospital is being built on the unceded traditional territory of Cowichan Tribes.

Construction for the hospital launched in 2023 and it is expected to open its doors in 2027. The facility will be three times larger with capacity for 204 beds. It will be B.C.'s first fully electric hospital, built to LEED Gold standards for environmental sustainability.

Staff, patients, and Indigenous partners have contributed to a design with improved patient experience and provider wellness in mind, incorporating healing design and a strong connection to the natural environment.
