Job Description

Salary Range: $34.40 - $40.95

Job Description:

Join a growing hospital pharmacy team where you will be able to work to your full scope of practice. The pharmacy department plays a pivotal role in medication safety for all patients. As an integral member of the team, the Pharmacy Technicians play a key role in medication safety by ensuring accurate management of the medication distribution system. Learn and be trained on a variety of job functions such as automated dispensing cabinet restocking, narcotic management, sterile and non-sterile compounding, chemotherapy preparation and conducting Best Possible Medication Histories. This is a part-time position to work rotating shifts - days and evenings, weekends and holidays included.

Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Regulated Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required.
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program required.
  • Experience in a Hospital environment or equivalent is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an independent and cooperative manner.
