We currently have a casual position for a Pharmacy Technician in the Ambulatory Patient Pharmacy (Outpatient Pharmacy).
Key responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician include but are not limited to:
Performing functions while meeting standards of accuracy and speed;
Filling prescriptions using automation (Symphony/Innovations) and workflow management software (Kroll);
Compounding mixtures and other necessary medications;
Checking prescriptions as needed;
Completing necessary mathematical calculations;
Ensuring accuracy in cash register transactions;
Preparation of daily cash reconciliation;
Preparing orders for delivery;
Inventory management;
Ordering and receiving medications and supplies.
Qualifications/Skills
Qualified to be regulated by the Ontario College of Pharmacists leading to licensure as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician within 18 months of graduation;
Registration as a Pharmacy Technician Intern after graduation;
Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Works well in a team environment;
Self-motivated to succeed and able to take initiative;
Reliable and punctual;
Proficient in computer and data entry skills;
Previous customer service skills strongly preferred;
Knowledge of retail pharmacy computer system strongly preferred (Kroll);
