In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
Description:
As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products. You will receive and triage medication orders, compound and repackage medication and prepare sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Alberta College of Pharmacists as a pharmacy technician. Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work in teams. Demonstrated computer or word processing skills. Committed to continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning. Able to comply with ACP standards of practice for sterile and non-sterile compounding.
Preferred Qualifications:
Local site knowledge or experience is an asset. Prior hospital experience with a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to automated dispensing cabinets, sterile and non-sterile compounding, BPMH (preferred). Prior experience in retail pharmacy setting (preferred). Membership with a pharmacy professional organization is preferred.
