The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all day-to-day activities affecting the people, operations, and merchandise in their division. The Pharmacy Manager must also ensure that the Pharmacy operates according to Walmart policy, professional standards, and provincial and federal regulations.
What you'll do
Lead the Pharmacy and OTC teams including participation in the recruitment and interviewing of candidates, train all associates on OBWs/SOPs and Walmart workflow, and ensure their execution.
Develop, assess, motivate, and retain team members.
Promote Walmart's brand to team members and customers.
Develop a functional and collaborative relationship with the Prof Services District Manager and the Store Management team.
Operate the Pharmacy to achieve established plans and budgets.
Schedule associates efficiently according to business needs, conduct ongoing associate assessments, and perform periodic performance reviews.
Develop and execute business action plans to meet corporate goals and create corrective action plans based on deficiencies identified in reports or audits.
Maintain accurate inventories in the Pharmacy by following Walmart OBWs/SOPs.
Address customer complaints and resolve problems to ensure an excellent customer experience.
Ensure the Pharmacy has a proper appearance and a clean environment for associates and patients.
Cascade communication from the SSC to all Pharmacy associates and OTC.
Execute all programs assigned to the Pharmacy by the Prof Services team.
Develop collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store and community.
Ensure the Pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours.
Supervise and support the OTC manager in their everyday duties.
Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals.
Fill all prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflow models.
Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
Operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system, etc.).
Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations.
Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to.
Minimum Qualifications
Age - 16 or older License - Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
