Pharmacy Assistant (Temporary) - 13th Ave Pharmacy

Job Description

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist on Duty. The Pharmacy Assistant performs technical duties, including data entry and preliminary filling of prescriptions. They must employ a high degree of direct patient contact, which is crucial in developing a positive patient experience. The Provincial Regulatory Body limits duties that the Pharmacy Assistants are authorized to perform.

Qualifications:

1. Excellent internal and external customer service skills and strong attention to detail; basic pharmacy knowledge would be an asset.
2. Self-reliant, goal-oriented, able to set and adjust priorities and schedules.
3. Ability to successfully complete a criminal record check as part of the recruitment process.
4. High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
5. Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
6. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
7. Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
8. Proficient data entry skills; experience with Microsoft Office is an asset.
9. Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
10. Ability to adapt to new technology.
11. High level of integrity and work ethic.
12. Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
13. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

Availability: Full Availability (Including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
